Product Resources

Most swim goggles are uncomfortable and leaky. Some dig into the bridge of your nose. And many of them fog up and don’t last.

We can’t say that any pair of goggles is perfect. They are sort of a necessary annoyance. But these are designed for triathlon crowd and other serious competitors, which is why they have a low profile design. In competitive swimming, every millisecond counts.

Go to the best swim goggles we have ever reviewed.

Anti fog, shatter resistant lens

The Speedo Vanquisher goggles are manufactured from high quality materials. The lens gaskets have a soft silicone that is hypoallergenic and molds well to the face offering cushioned protection. Besides that, the silicone lasts a long time, often over a year.

The lenses offer 95% UV protection and are made with polycarbonate coating so they don’t fog up. Despite best efforts, some might wear off the coating and they can end up fogging if you don’t rinse them after you use them.

I guess you can spray them with anti fog, but most coaches still hold true to the old trick of using your own saliva to smear on them which makes a good case for never borrowing a friend’s pair! And most likely they will eventually fog but probably won’t leak water.

Great fit, airtight and don’t hurt your eyes

Product Features

• Silicone seal and strap
• 95% UV protection & anti-fog coating
• Three nose bridges for custom fit
• Double silicone strap for secure fit

This pair of goggles comes with three nose bridges for a custom fit. It’s this custom fit that prevents water from leaking in. They are also far more comfortable than other goggles and swimmers commented that they did not have that “suction face” feeling when wearing them—like they are going to dislodge your eyes right out of their sockets.

They do take some adjusting

To get that custom fit feeling, you do have to fidget with goggles to get them to fit your face the right way. You might have to try the different nosepieces that come out of the by twisting. But it’s worth the effort and they stay once you adjust them. These goggles have a fabulous track record. They can last a year with regular use which is pretty remarkable. The way to adjust is to feel a bit of suction when you wear them. However, if it feels like a strong pinch, they are too tight.

Men's, women's, juniors, mirrored and even corrective lenses pair

There is a lot of variety in these goggles. They've been around long enough. Besides the different types, there are different colors, too. But for those who depend on eye glasses the corrective lenses, called Speedo Vanquisher Optical, are pretty cool alternative to swimming in a blur.

Nothing bugs a swimmer more than leaky goggles. And swimmers who used these did really like that they could fit a small nose, a large head or avoid that eye-sucking feeling most goggles tend to have.

I rated them mid range for ease of use because adjusting them took a little time. But then most pairs I've ever tried take time to adjust and at least these actually fit the face after expending the effort. They are also durable and the strap is less likely to snap.
