I just spend a few hours with a dentist yesterday discussing several topics and she mentioned the Makkar Advantage mouth guard. There are two main types--one for athletes who don't want it to show (i.e. golfers) and one for athletes who want this device not only for its performance enhancement qualities but for its ability to protect your mouth and teeth (i.e. hockey players).

How does a mouth guard enhance performance?

Apparently proper jaw alignment is key to top performance. This Makkar mouth guard, and there are several levels from amateur to pro athletic version, aligns the jaw and when placed in the mouth, it has the instant effect of perfecting your performance.

This enhanced alignment position allows the body to operate much more efficiently. If your jaw is not in alignment, your body short circuits which impedes performance. Shaquille O'Neal endorses the appliance as do a number of professional athletes.

PPM = Pure Power Mouth Guard

The device, once properly fitted and this is a KEY step to the process, provides instant improvement in balance, range of motion (ROM), flexibility, explosive speed and strength. Golfers, baseball players, football players etc can benefit from this device. In sports where a split second matters, this can be crucial. And it's absolutely legal performance enhancement. It's not against the law to protect your teeth while aligning your jaw.

We'll be writing a more in-depth article about this device and how it specifically effects particular sports and the types and levels of these PPM devices.

This PPM is awesome! What really put me over the top to be a provider for it was...I am sitting at a dental seminar in Park City Utah and the dentist next to me practices in Utah, anyway he mentions that his patient is Apollo Ono the winner of 10 Olympic medals...and he had made Apollo a PPM to train with prior to the Olympics so I am thinking ...WOW there really must be something to this mouth guard! I am having mine made as we speak! Who doesn't want to be a better athlete, whether it's golf (my sport) or basketball, tennis, baseball, football, soccer, or whatever (speed skating!:D) Try it you might just find out you are better at what you love to do!!!! :D
