Many insurance companies will reimburse patients for all or part of the expense of DME products. DME stands for Durable Medical Equipment. Many times your doctor will submit the claim for patients. You can call your insurance company and request specific details about your coverage, and the procedure for reimbursement. Below is some information to help you get reimbursement.
Print off your receipt from any e-mail confirming your order after placing your order.
When you send information into your insurance carrier, please include the HCFA code, which allows the carrier to identify your brace in clear insurance terminology. The codes are:
