McDavid to Launch Education Newsletter

McDavid plans to use a semi-annual newsletter to inform athletic trainers, coaches, physical therapists, sports medicine clinics and professionals about what resources and tools are available to keep players of all levels protected.

The newsletter is designed "to bridge the gap between technological innovation and injury prevention."

The first newsletter was mailed out this week to a distribution list of over 40,000. It includes articles about the prevalence of youth injuries and how McDavid can help prevent them; the increased ability for sports medicine specialists and trainers to locate supportive gear at retail locations on a moment's notice; the ease of connecting with McDavid through social media and the interactive website; and the unique way in which McDavid's signature HexPad technology has changed the landscape of athletic apparel by incorporating protection.

"There was a time when an injury could keep an athlete out of the game longer than necessary, because he/she didn't have supportive gear readily available," Corpuz said. "But times have changed, and now the core of our sports medicine products are available at thousands of stores across the country. People just need to know what they are looking for and where to get it."

McDavid's website also breaks down its products by sport and area of protection, making it easier for the consumer to find which support is best for their specific injury. A customer hotline is also available for personal assistance.
