There are two groups of people. Those for whom the night brace works. And those for whom it does not. Most people swear by it.

Is your plantar fasciitis the result of overuse or is it due to biomechanics?
While it has not been as effective for me given the fact mine was not from overuse but a biomechanics issue, it is very effective for some people. So if you have plantar fasciitis as a result of overuse, the boot will probably work for you.
Which boot? Most say it doesn't matter so I chose to review the cheapest one. And it is a matter of preference whether you like this style or the dorsal style (reviewed earlier - keyword futuro night brace). I'm telling you that about 90% of those I asked said this worked for them so you might as well get the cheaper one. If it works in two weeks, you don't need the Taj Mahal of night splints. It's not like you'll be jogging in it. You are sleeping in it. Others have recommended sitting at a desk with it on, too during periods of the day.Not a fashion accessory by any stretch but it's not like you're wearing knock-me-down-and-do-me style stiletto shoes when you have plantar fasciitis.

Is it comfortable?
It is comfortable in terms of the softness and compared to others. They are not easy to sleep in and this one is not any more or less bulky that other boots this style. With the foot kept in this position all night, you don't wake up with searing heel pain and you should see results right away but really feeling it by three days. Most of the boot fans I interviewed tell me theirs went away in 2-3 weeks if they wore this boot. When I mentioned brand, everyone said it really did not matter. Some even admitted to using an old post surgical boot that a spouse had used.

The down side
If you need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, the velcro has a nice rip to it that can disturb a light-sleeping spouse or pet. I tried walking to the bathroom in it but I would not recommend it. I was hardly graceful and I can just tell you I was lucky not to break my neck. I almost lost the ring that goes around the ankle without which I would've not been able to tighten this part. Fortunately, I did find it.
The up side
This one is more reasonably priced than most and if you're going to see if it works for you, it's not as painful an outlay of cash. Many will prefer the dorsal night splint as it's more comfortable but again, there are many that say this is the ticket and the 90 degrees is what did it for them. It is more lightweight than similar styles and not as hot either. I expected to be sweltering but that was not the case.
