Robert G. Klitzman, MD Website: YourSportsMD Dr. Klitzman did his undergraduate work at University of Oklahoma in Norman and went to medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He did his orthopedic surgical residency at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL and completed a Sports and Arthroscopy fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Klitzman focuses on keeping athletes in the game with injury prevention and sideline treatment of injuries. Dr. Klitzman’s specialties include ACL reconstruction, ACL delayed rehab, rotator cuff tears, decompression, bankart repair, SLAP Lesion and Knee and shoulder arthroscopy. Dr. Klitzman does Rotator Cuff Surgeries ArthroscopicallyFor the majority of his patients, Dr. Klitzman utilizes his extensive training and experience to perform the less-invasive arthroscopic shoulder surgery for rotator cuff injuries. This results in less scar tissue, less pain, fewer restrictions and faster recovery for patients. While results are often equal, the patient experience is far better with the minimally invasive techniques.
