If you’ve participated in a race such as a Marathon or even walked a long way, you’ve probably had blisters. What does it take to prevent blisters that might otherwise affect your results in a race or athletic event? Even those who have the coolmax socks, liners and great shoes end up still getting blisters.
Mueller Lube stick |
Those who have particularly sweaty feet tend to suffer more blisters than others.
So what do you do about them?
I had started out asking about Body Glide, the lubricant that I first heard about. But so many expressed a preference for Mueller Lube Stick, I decided to review it instead. We don’t pan products here but rather showcase that which comes highly recommended for specific reasons. This one looks like stick deodorant but flatter on top at first. You clean off any dust and dirt buildup and apply the lubricant to any parts of the feet that typically blister.
Easy to apply, not gluey and more for your money.

Many athletes and even those who wear steel toed shoes or work boots liked the fact that it was so effective yet you got far more for the price than with other sticks. Users liked the way it glided on and said others were like glue sticks. Pasty is obviously no popular.
Don’t be shocked at the price. It is priced by the case.
You can get a single stick. But many who ordered online at first were taken aback at the price only to find out it was for a case.
If this doesn’t work for you
This did work for most athletes. However, some mentioned Gold Bond powder and others said they had to use foam undertape and then coach taping to prevent blisters. Of those that used tape, they all used a tape adherent on the areas being taped, something like Tuf-Skin or Mueller Clear Spray before applying the tape.
