Often referred to as ‘Endurance Insurance’, BodyGlide is an anti chafing stick that prevents blisters that comes with and without sunscreen. If you have a tendency for blisters whether it’s on your feet, the body, due to thighs rubbing or new shoe irritation or just sweaty feet and body BodyGlide could be the ideal solution. This product is not some new introduction but the gold standard for preventing blisters and chafing since 1996. Consistently this product gets top reviews and absolutely no one complained about it. Of course we’ll focus here on athletes but even non-athletes can enjoy blister free body.
Marathoners and triathletes in particular will not run outside in the heat without it. It is an all natural, non-greasy blister preventer that works by preventing friction and creating a protective barrier on your skin -- preventing chafing, blisters, rash, saddle sores, and skin irritation. You can coat your feet with it every day.
How to apply BodyGlide Anti Chafing
Most told me that they would advise users to allow it to dry for about 30 seconds before putting on your socks, shoes, running shoes, wetsuit or whatever you use it for otherwise you can get that sticky feeling trapped under the fabric. The easy to apply BodyGlide stick goes on like a solid deodorant. A 3.2 ounce stick can last months and the 2.5 ounce stick doesn’t last as long of course but great for a sports bag.
Not sticky, doesn’t melt off, stays on where you put it. Some mentioned a build up on sandals or shoes if they used it consistently with a particular pair of shoes. But other than that, there were very few complaints about this product.

Athletes can perform their best if not hampered by blistering
Blisters can be very painful and the summer months in particular present a challenge to long distance runners, swimmers, bikers and triathletes. Athletes have told me they use it not only for traditional places like the feet in shoes or sandals but around the neck in a wetsuit, between thighs to prevent rubbing raw.
Bikers say that they can remain blister free after a 6-hour ride as long as they use this. Athletes running in and out of water in particular loved this brand. Even surfers swear by it. No residue or funky smell typical of anti chafing lubricants with vegetable oil or petroleum jelly (aka Vaseline).

Other uses athletes and non athletes mentioned
I bought some of this for my Dad since he gets rashes on his face from using the CPAP machine for sleep apnea. Ballerinas use it on their feet to prevent chafing in pointe shoes. Diabetics who experience skin dryness use it as well at those who are overweight and trying to lose weight without blistering, boogie board relief from blistering and relief for those with jumbo gentalia in running shorts. Hey, that was what one athlete told me. Maybe more than I needed to know?
