Benefits/Features:
sun protection for the arms

Arm sleeves or throwing sleeves are all the rage with athletes from runners, to football players to triathletes.

These Pearl Izumi Sun Sleeves are intended for sun protection which suit bikers, triathletes and runners or any athlete wanting protection from the sun. They protect skin with over 50+ UPF which indicates excellent UV protection.

These Pearl Izumi Sun Sleeves, priced under $20, protect without sucking in heat

The material is designed to wick perspiration away from the body and keep the arms cool. How? These have mesh undersides that allow airflow. They are labeled right and left so you know which one goes on which arm.

Bikers in particular love these sleeves. No matter what you do, your arms are exposed to extended hours of sun if you ride a bike ad these can be a lifesaver. No suntan lotion will offer that much protection.

If you like to sun bathe, this is not the thing for you. But if you hate applying suntan lotion and hate the feeling of the stuff when you sweat, these are a great alternative.

These are long enough for those with longer arms

In XL, these typically will go wrist to arm pit without being overstretched to reach that destination. They are just thick enough for protection without being heavy and too hot. Easy to take on and off as well.

Bottom line ---it beats sunscreen and works for keeping the sun off your arms.

Sizes small to extra large. White and black at this writing.

Sun sleeves instead of suntal lotion

I can't stand sweating with sunscreen -- particularly on my arms. And quite frankly, suntan lotion works to a point but then you still get a lot of sun on your arms if you bike long distances unless you're in a cave.

These have mesh underneath to breathe and thankfully they are long enough for my long arms. I get sunspots so these sleeves are a lifesaver. These work very well by blocking out the sun and they are not too hot on most days. I have worn these with a bathing suit as well as on a run since my arms don't get a break from the sun at the beach and everything long sleeved is usually too hot.

Great for the beach

These were a life saver at the beach. I'd wear my surf shirt in the ocean and then when i came out, I'd wear these sleeves. I'm simply to fair skinned and had too many skin cancers removed to chance it any more. These worked great and had more air circulation than the long sleeved surf shirts. So I wear a short sleeved on and just put these on. I have not tried them in the water yet. I wonder why I've not done that but I will now that I think about it.

Sun sleeves keep me from getting burned

Not so hot as a lot of them out there, these are essential to me for blocking the sun whether I'm out watching a soccer game or riding my bike.

Sun sleeves great for fair skin bikers

I couldn't bike during the day without these. My skin is so sensitive to the sun since i'm a fair redhead. No amount of suntan lotion was helping. I can now bike before 4:30pm! They are much cooler than long sleeved shirts and those were getting too hot with the weather getting warmer. Highly recommend these. Suit my long arms, too. I will say that they take some getting used to
