Shooting sleeves may seem like a faddish fashion statement at first but after you wear one, you may think differently. Shooting sleeves are for shooters or throwers which would include shooting basketball or throwing a football. While leg strength is one of the key factors in shooting power and accuracy for basketball, arm strength and fatigue is another important factor in increasing your shooting percentage and fighting fatigue during the season.

One of these should work for you and each has advantages that may be important you you so you can select one that works for you. Keep in mind, they don’t come in pairs and prices are for each arm sleeve.
First up is the Adidas Men's Techfit Powerweb Compression Arm Shooting Sleeve. This one stabilizes your arm, adds power to your shot, material wicks moisture and doesn’t smell. Washing is easy and it withstands a number of washes. You will feel the difference when you put in on. It can feel a bit tight at first but this is just an initial feeling and it sort of adjusts to the size of your arm.
This sleeve comes with and without the elbow padding. The link to the left shows you both types.
It does add more power to your shot or throw, and results in less arm fatigue. It is especially helpful if you are a three-point shooter.
It is for the guy with a decent sized bicep. Thin arms might get lost in it. Comes in multiple colors to coordinate with team colors.
This is a good compression sleeve for guys under 6 feet or under. Those 6’2” with long arms might find it a bit short. Nike products tend to be this way. There is no elbow pad but compression overall is very effective in combatting fatigue and it holds up to being washed. Moisture wicking was also good.
We took a look at a few other sleeves such as the McDavid with its patented hexpad but sizing was a little bizarre at this writing and there is little guidance as to what size to get. If this changes, we’ll add it to this listing review.
