Wrist/Elbow Brace Benefits

Wrist/Elbow Supports Lateral Epicondylitis (tennis elbow) • Medial epicondylitis • tendonitis

If you are suffering from both tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) and golfer’s elbow (medial epicondylitis), this band or clasp can help relieve the pain of both conditions at once. So basically it works for forehand and back hand tennis elbow.

Pain relief for the top of the outside elbow and the bottom inside elbow at the same time

Pain in the upper outside of the elbow (positioned a bit higher than the photo) is tennis elbow. On the inside bottom of the elbow is golfer's elbow.

Most of those who suffer from these conditions do not actually play either of these golf or tennis but they have been known to trouble those who do. They are usually the result of bad mechanics or sudden quick movements.

The EpiSport Epicondylitis Clasp is not a cure but can be used to relieve pain caused by overuse relating to your job, sports or an injury. It’s the elbow band for the double whammy—for those of you suffering from pain at the top outside of the elbow as well as the inside, palm side lower part of the elbow.

This is not a replacement for medical care

Keep in mind that many times pain you feel in one part of your body might be the result of an injury in another part. For instance, tennis elbow can be the result of something you are doing with your wrist. It is the result of a repetitive motion of the arm particularly with a clenched fist. It might be caused by overuse of the forearm or trauma to the elbow as a result of a quick motion of the arm.

How the EpiSport clasp works

The EpiSport Clasp provides targeted compression to your long tendons in the forearm. It is designed to help those tendons remain parallel and pain free. It features dual action compression, which works simultaneously to treat lateral and medial epicondylitis (forehand and backhand tennis elbow also known astennis elbow/swimmer’s elbow and golfer’s elbow).

Anything stuck on your elbow isn't going to be entirely pleasant. But most I spoke with felt this offered great pain relief to those who suffer from both tennis elbow and golfer's elbow at the same time. They also recommended getting an assessment of your stroke if you play a sport since it often has to do with poor form. This step apparently keeps it from returning. Ibuprofen and ice were also recommended.

I did not know whether I had golfer's elbow or tennis elbow so I got this one and I like it. I am going to try that kenesio tape on my elbow next. A friend of mine uses it and he said it worked to help his tennis elbow and he uses it to prevent another one. He also went to the tennis pro at our racquet club to improve his swing. That is part of why you get tennis elbow, a swing that is not quit right.
