I have used many NOW brand products and find them to be very high quality supplements that work very well. I've used the Glucosamine, the Bromelain and the D-Mannose and all were very effective.

I would be very curious to see if a combination of kinesio tape and bromelain helped with healing of a sprained ankle. I tried this supplement, since I am the sportsmedinfo.net guinea pig along with many of my athletic friends and family members, for an inflamed bursa of the knee and it did result in reducing pain and inflammation. I then used kinesio tape which seemed to extend the relief of that injury. I can't yet say if it "cured" the inflamed bursa but then that is probably due to running hills so I need to alternate hill days with some flat land days. But so far I have found relief from this pineapple enzyme.

It provides functional support which is not to be mistaken for restricting movement--an important distinction when there are times you need to restrict movement.

But your muscles feel more energized and less fatigued. I have also used it to prevent injury flare up and had others try it as well. It did well in these tests. It also it good for water sports, triathlons and has enormous adhesion powers. This was developed for athletes and triathletes and it delivers.

You have to like slipping in the ice pack in the area you want. This is very easy to walk around in unless you have the ice pack on your arch. Warm the pack in the microwave or keep it in the freezer.

Do keep in mind that this works better for a man's foot or larger women's foot. It is effective in its delivery of cold and heat therapy to a swollen ankle. The long velcro straps allow it to be individualize which is an advantage.

It is very comfortable to the area. It doesn't stay cold for 40 minutes but it does work fast to deliver pain relief and reduce swelling.

If you need a stability shoe and are prone to over pronation or shin splints, this is the shoe many runners will point to. I do wince when I pay for them but am always glad I took the plunge. They last about 5 months but I can't rate them tops for durability. I do start to feel pain in my Achilles which means I need to get new shoes. As soon as I get new ones, all knee or Achilles pain goes away. So these are definitely keeping me in the game.

I love these shoes. Pain I was having evaporated when I ran with them on. They are great for overpronators with high arches since they provide great arch support. My feet don't hurt and I avoid reoccurrance of plantar fasciitis. They are pricey but worth it since I was spending $$ on all sorts of aids to run with other shoes in testing those for this website. I had developed an inflamed bursa which went away once I used these shoes and a strip of kinesio tape.

Other runners interviewed who like stabilizer shoes also gave these a very favorable rating. As always, no one shoe is for everyone and it depends on your issues. But if what is listed here are issues you have, these are worth every blessed penny.

I love the speed lacer. Although I've used the regular lace up one as well. The price is more of a bargain now than it used to be, too. But it really does keep your ankle from going over. I've had mine start to go over and it just pops right back up. That has happened more than once. It's not comfortable right at first but you really do get used to it. Even in the summer.

This is the most complete guide I've run into. There are so many that address men's injury issues that simply ignore those of the female athlete. Others focus more on eating disorders and still others tell stores but don't give any guidance on prevention or treating injuries or training regimens that are poor. This points that out. It's a very handy reference and one that women who are over 25 are sorry they did not have earlier. It really is a great guide for any female athlete but really a must have for parents of female athletes. It offers good, educated guidance from a female orthopedic surgeon.

These do make the task easier. I would recommend them if you use a lot of kinesio but particularly if you are a physical therapist or ATC. They will cut all kinds of tape precisely for many years.
