A mainstay in locker rooms for enhancing tape stickiness. See the sportsmedinfo.net Tuf Skin review.

Buy Cramer Tuf-Skin from amazon.com

Get Mueller Tuffner Pre Tape Spray.

If you are hot tubber, SpiderTech precut kinesiology tape and spider tape by the roll are the strongest and most water resistant.  KT tape is somewhat hot-tub friendly although I've found it to be the least sticky in the hot tub. And there is a extra water resistant kinesio tape that works well in the water.

So for water sports, SpiderTech and extra water resistant Kinesio Tex Tape are your best bet. spider tech tape is stickiest in water

If stickiness is an issue, most athletic trainers suggest an extra step, a pre tape spray called Cramer Tuf Skin. It's been around since the beginning of time and is still one of the mainstays of most locker training rooms.

This is a particularly good route to go if you've already bought a kinesiology tape and want to increase it's stickiness. In particular, the bottoms of feet that are, by nature, really sweaty can benefit from this spray.

Good Kinesiology Tape Application Techniques are Crucial to Effectiveness

It is the application process which includes applying on dry skin, skin prep if necessary and rubbing the tape to activate the glue that are key to getting the staying power of the tape and the most out of it.

If you are using kinesio tape from a roll, I usually curve the ends a bit in a convex sort of way to avoid frayed ends. Both SpiderTech Tape and KT Tape come with machine cut ends that are convex curved on the end and Kinesio Performance is slated to hit the market that way.

Apply kinesio tape, KT Tape, SpiderTech Tape at least 30 minutes prior to sports or activity for best results.

If you apply lotion to your legs or self tanner prior to appllying the tape, it won't stay on as long and tend to fray, particularly in water.
