He has presented numerous articles in orthopedic journals and gives presentations at national and international orthopedic conferences. He is a Master Instructor and teaches surgical techniques to other orthopedic residents all over the U.S. Dr. Goradia educates physicians and patients Dr. Goradia has served as an instructor at knee and shoulder arthroscopy labs designed to teach various surgeries to orthopedic surgeons from across the US and around the world. Dr. Goradia is the past chairman of the Technology Committee for the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Currently, he is one of 37 U.S. & international orthopedic surgeons serving on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Arthroscopic Surgery. Dr. Goradia is a consultant for several orthopedic and sports medicine related companies. He has also developed several surgical videos used for education of surgeons interested in learning advanced techniques in knee and shoulder arthroscopy. Awards and recognition Dr. Goradia has received awards from both the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Herodicus Society for his research work in the advancement knee ligament (ACL) reconstructive surgery. Herodicus Society is a prestigious national sports medicine society. He was also featured in a Bon Secours television commercial Board certified & fellowship-trained Unlike most orthopedic surgeons, Dr. Goradia received fellowship training in Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy and Knee & Shoulder reconstructive surgery at Union Memorial Hospital Sports Medicine Clinic in Baltimore, Maryland. Additionally, Dr. Goradia among first in U.S. to receive Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Sports Medicine. Dr. Goradia worked under the direction of Les Matthews, M.D., who was at that time the President of the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Sports Medicine experience During his fellowship, Dr. Goradia served as orthopedic surgeon for Morgan State University's football team (NCAA Division I-AA) and other high school, college and professional sports teams in the Baltimore area. Dr. Goradia continued his affiliation with collegiate and professional sports while working with the Roanoke Orthopedic Center in Blacksburg, Virginia. He has served as the team orthopedic surgeon for the Virginia Military Institute and the Roanoke Steam professional arena football team. Today, Dr. Goradia's practice includes general orthopedics, sports medicine, workers' comp, physical therapy and arthroscopic surgery.
