Oh this shoe feel so divine. After being spoiled with Gel Kayano 13 and 14 and having 15 be a total bomb, this was heaven. The gel technology makes all the difference.
This Gel Cumulus is ideal for those who suffer from knee problems or shin splints. Neutral Shoes.
Neutral is neither flat footed or high arched.
They also have a great arch support which also helps prevent plantar fasciitis. The Gel makes for a very cushioined run. Hence the name cumulus for cloud. The Nimbus, another Asics gem, is more expensive, yet I could not tell the difference between the Nimbus and the Cumulus.
The two layers of protection keep your feet cool and dry. Some mentioned using these in conjunction with body glide or some other preventive chafing stick or spray.
Runners who ran in the heat praise their wicking ability and best of all their ability to prevent blisters, which are common with sweaty feet. The “original wrightsocks” received the highest praise.

From the perspective of biomechanics, these work.
I typically go for a Stability shoe and this one is considered Neutral. Yet it works with my high arches. Not so great with overpronation, though. Try Gel Kayano 15 if you have overpronation as you might need a stability shoe as opposed to a neutral shoe.
An improvement over Asics Gel Cumulus 10
You know how you get attached to a pair of shoes. Then they come out with the “improvement” that is not an improvement and you are back to the drawing board. This is not the case with these shoes. They are even better and more cushiony than the Ascis Gel Cumulus 10 model.
But they keep my feet stable even though they are a neutral shoe. So they might just be considered a hybrid, offering the best of neutral and stability if that is at all possible.
