Sports Med Article CategoriesFrontal Knee Pain Picture
When you try to find the answers to your knee pain, you often find anatomical drawings. And what some of us really need is a picture of the knee how we see it--the outside in so to speak. Most of us just want to point to an area and say, "this hurts" and have a list of what it might be.
There are many times I have pain somewhere but can't decide if it's serious enough to warrant a doctor's visit or simply apply ice and rest the joint. Of course, this does not in any way replace a diagnosis with your doctor. And you best not march in and argue with the doc and insist your self diagnosis is better than his/hers. This only points out the most common knee problems on the front side of the knee which cause knee pain. You might have something not listed which could be any number of things. I have used this attractive mannequin knee (because it is a free photo) and had author/contributor/medical professional Jonny Wood take a look at it to make sure it was correct since his experience is in sports med, specifically orthopedics. From here, you can decide if you need to go to the doctor for diagnosis for your knee pain, what kind of knee brace you might need or how to proceed with kinesiology taping or sports taping, icing, injection or over-the-counter glucosamine chondroitin supplements. |

Does taping also help people with lumbar disc issues, if so what is the taping procedure?
Thnk you for any info you are able to share with me!
The colors are fashion only. So any color will work like another.
I do not think that taping helps with lumbar disk issues. It might help alleviate pain and it can alleviate swelling if you have that from lumbar disk pain. Hope that helps.
