Just starting with kettlebells? Amy Bento, known for her dynamic personality, introduces kettlebell training with this energetic program designed for beginners. "3 in 1” because this DVD contains three segments. It starts with a tutorial designed to show you the complete breakdown of the basic kettlebell moves. This includes step-by-step close-ups and descriptions. Next is the beginner workout, which begins with a quick warm-up and then continues with a complete start-to-finish workout utilizing what you learned in the instructional section.

This is followed by an Intermediate workout that combines cardio exercises with the kettlebell moves. This is suitable for all fitness levels but great for beginners. The best part is the clear and concise instruction for safe, effective kettlebell workouts.

She cues up the moves well and you have time to adjust before she launches into the next move. Amy Benton is talkative and motivating, a definite extrovert. Not everyone likes this style but even if you don’t, it’s great instruction. What weight you start with depends. Beginner women can usually handle 10 lbs while beginner men might want to start with something around 15-20 lbs. Those who’ve worked out with weights for a while might want to go up in weight.

You may outgrow this in a couple of months but for the price, it’s worth it to start off the right and it was recommended by Prevention Magazine.

Great beginner Kettlebell instruction

A lot of kettlebell dvds will leave you overwhelmed if you are a beginner. Great cues before the next move so you have time to get it. She teaches good form which is a must with kettlebell training as you can really do damage if you don't have good form. Results with kettlebells are amazing and they offer an all over body workout. It's not brand spanking new but the price is right and the instruction good. You may grow out of it in 2 months but again, for the price, that's not an issue.
