Superfoods is a guide book about foods that are are nutritionally dense and have recently become widely available. They offer tremendous dietary value and healing potential.

Very Practical

David Wolfe is a raw foods guru who passionately profiles plant products from goji berries and hempseed to raw chocolate, spirulina, bee products, and a host of others.

Each of the superfoods Wolfe profiles is described in detail and accompanied with recipes so you can incorporate these in your diet. Included are history, facts, legends, benefits, usage and recipes of superfoods. It doesn’t have to be read like a novel but it is a sort of reference book that you can read that way.

This book is for those who are looking for health and well being through the foods they eat. It is an interesting look at health and nutrition and raises awareness of food in general. I especially like the top ten list.

Devils Advocate

Detailed and easy to read, it can seem overboard (especially for those who love meat) and he does tend to promote his own products from Sun Nutrition. He includes very few contraindications. Even natural foods can cause some issues in those with conditions such as diabetes. Wolf has also gone over the edge at times by endorsing some weird things, which makes him seem like an expert promoter.

Overall the book is pretty fascinating the research that brings it together is pretty solid, organized and it’s a very complete guide.

Good book on superfoods

This is a well organized and informative book although definitely enthusiastic in nature. Good information with solid sources.

We did not love the product pushes and it is definitely geared to raw food as a lifestyle. But even if you don't want that lifestyle, there are a lot of good takeaways to improving your diet and seeing more energy and better athletic performance as a result.

It is available in many price points and it is worth reading.
